Hello Labor Day! This Peach Sangria Slushie makes a perfect an end of summer sipping treat blending fresh peaches with orange juice and white wine. I am so excited for this coming weekend because I will be heading off to Chicago for a friend’s wedding. I love Chicago, and I am excited to spend a little time exploring the city! This past weekend, I took a day trip to Sedona, Arizona for a little hiking and wine tasting. It was my first trip to Northern Arizona, and I absolutely loved it! The gorgeous Red Rocks stood out against the green thick forests. I’m gearing up for a super busy fall! I have a wedding, event, birthday celebration, out-of-town guest or something else going on almost every other weekend from now until December!
This weekend I also celebrated my 4th Paleo Anniversary. Yes it seems a little odd to be posting a wine slushie right after my paleo anniversary, but I never claimed to be Paleo perfect because I’m not. After 4 years of Paleo, I have come to terms that moderation is key and there is no one shade of paleo for every person! Paleo is a choice. I choose to eat healthy, real food not because I want to follow the latest diet trend but because I want to nourish my body. When I first started Paleo 4 years ago, it was simply to lose weight. I gained almost 10 pounds over a month after slowly letting 20 pounds creep on earlier. I couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror. I started Paleo to lose weight, but it isn’t why I have kept up with Paleo. I keep it up because it makes my body feel good! So I cheers with my Peach Sangria Slushie and hope for another amazing year on Paleo!
Ingredients
- 175mL bottle white wine, Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio work best
- 1 1/4 lbs peaches, cubed
- 1/4 cup orange juice
Directions
- Pour wine into an 8x8 glass dish and freeze overnight.
- Break apart frozen wine and place into a blender with peaches and orange juice.
- Blend until smooth and serve immediately!
- For a creamier slushie, peel the peaches but I like the little bits of skin personally!
Enjoy!

Well, I wasn’t planning on wine today, but this recipe is too good not to! What a great way to kick off the end of summer here. Peaches and white wine are a match made in heaven.
