Modern Moroccan Patio Decor

Decorating our patio was one of the most fun things I’ve done to truly make our home ours. While I have decorated a little bit inside our home, there are still countless blank walls and empty spaces. After renovating our backyard last summer from a dirt pit filled with weeds to lush grass with raised beds and a fire pit, my husband and I wanted to refresh our patio to fit with our new awesome backyard. I gave myself a budget of $1,000 to make the transformation with this modern Moroccan patio decor, which included buying the supplies to paint and stencil our concrete. The largest part of the budget went to the furniture by far, but it was so worth it because we spend so much time lounging on that furniture now.

The front of our house features bold cobalt blue shutters with a matching blue front door. This color schemes flows through our house to our backyard with the same blue backdoor. Playing off the blue scheme, I painted our concrete with a bold light navy Ikat pattern then pulled the color into the modern Moroccan patio decor through flower pots and throw pillows. I loved sourcing all my finds from different stores to create the perfect mis-matched look. At one point, I went a little crazy though and ordered and picked up every single one of my throw pillows from a different store and store location. Why can’t everything be available online? I think my favorite was picking up a pillow from a Pottery Barn in Miami Beach while on vacation and flying with it back to Colorado. We will just say I was committed to creating the right look!
