I seriously licked this sauce from the bowl each time I ate this paleo crockpot beef and broccoli. A couple months ago I saw this recipe on Pinterest, and I immediately knew I wanted to make it paleo. Back in my pre-paleo days, Chinese take-out food was one of my favorite indulgences. General Tsos chicken, Mongolian beef, egg rolls, fried rice and of course Beef and Broccoli. I love recreating some of my former favorite take-out recipes paleo style like my PF Chang’s Beef a la Sichuan and Panda Express’s Sweet Fire Chicken. Now this Paleo Crockpot Beef and Broccoli isn’t a copycat of any particular restaurant, it is simply that classic takeout beef and broccoli deliciousness without any of the junk or guilt!

Ingredients
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2/3 cup coconut aminos
- 2 tbls coconut sugar
- 1 tbls sesame oil
- 1 tbls garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 lbs flank steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cups broccoli florets, large diced
- 2 tbls arrowroot powder
- 4 tbls cold water
Directions
- Mix beef broth, coconut aminos, coconut sugar, sesame oil and garlic together in a bowl.
- Place flank steak in bottom of crockpot. Pour sauce over steak, set on low and cook for 5 hours.
- Toss in broccoli, cover and cook for an additional hour.
- Mix together arrowroot powder and cold water.
- Once the crockpot is done, pour crockpot sauce into small sauce pot with arrowroot mixture.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes until reduced by half.
- Pour over beef and broccoli and serve with cauliflower rice and a spoonful of chili garlic sauce for an added kick!
