I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving and also a filling one! I stuffed my belly with turkey, grain-free stuffing, raw cranberry sauce, pomegranate balsamic brussels sprouts and Fed + Fit’s apple pie from her new ebook. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite food holidays. I will eat and eat and eat with little or no regard to the fact my stomach is only so big.
My sister and I even duked it for the last piece of Fed + Fit’s apple pie. I made it without the crust for an easy dessert, and it was still delicious! I have a treat for you guys today! Just for my readers I have a discount code for Fed + Fit’s new Holiday Feast ebook. Cassy’s ebook is already a great deal for $9.99, but if you use the discount code “plaidholiday” you get her ebook for $7.99! There are so many great holiday dishes for all different paleo diets in her ebook, including various holiday menus.
The return of Meaty Mondays! I know I have been slacking a little on recipes, but life has been crazy. Moving, starting a new job, Thanksgiving and completing an e-magazine deadline all in two weeks has been a little stressful to say the least. I am so excited to be back in the kitchen and creating new recipes for you guys. I want to start focusing on creating simple recipes with easy directions. I saw this recipe for lil’ smokies here and knew they would make a great Paleo snack. These sweet and tangy lil’ smokies definitely fit the bill! With only 6 ingredients, these lil’ smokies are the perfect holiday appetizer.

What is coconut aminos? What could I use as an alternative?
vanessa says
Coconut aminos is a paleo substitute for soy sauce. You can replace with gluten-free soy sauce.
