Paleo Pink Ombre Drink | Plaid & PaleoAll summer long, I have been sipping on this Pink Ombre Drink! After having the original version at Starbucks, I knew I had to recreate it at home like I did the Pink Drink last year. This Paleo Pink Ombre Drink differs from the standard Pink Drink with the addition of lime and passion tea! I love making these drinks because as a former Starbucks addict, these fancy drinks can start to put a whole in your wallet fast! Making the Pink Ombre Drink at home is not only tasty but it is super cost effective!

Last weekend, I squeezed in my one and only lake trip of the summer right before summer officially fades to fall. I loved getting out on the water and trying my hand at a new water sport, wake surfing! Wake surfing has definitely risen in popularity over the last few years, but I never had a chance to try it. At first, I was super nervous that I wouldn’t get up at all, but those fears were quickly erased when I popped up on my first try! None of my runs lasted very long, but I loved every second of it!

So I officially only have 2 days left of my 20s. It is a weird feeling to be done with a whole decade of life. I still remember turning 20 in college and being so happy to not be a teenager anymore. I’m not sure if I have the same feeling turning 30. Yes I know 30 is just a number, and nothing is going to drastically change over one day. it will be fun to shock people who think I am barely 21 with the fact that I am actually 30! Twenty-nine was a pretty good year, and I think 30 will be even better!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 passion tango tea bag
  • 1 cup organic white grape juice, divided
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbls lime juice

Directions

  1. Seep tea bag in 1/2 cup hot water for a couple minutes. Spoon out tea bag and squeeze out all juice.
  2. Mix in 1/2 cup white grape juice.
  3. While tea is seeping, combine coconut milk, 1/2 cup white grape juice and lime juice.
  4. Fill two 8oz cups with ice and pour in coconut mixture then top with tea mixture.

Notes

It is okay if the layers combine. I actually like it better that way!
