So I have been getting an influx of “Paleo Police” on Pinterest. On my Pinterest, I not only share my recipes but also other paleo recipes from some of my favorite healthy bloggers. These comments are never on my recipes, but it still irritates me. Nine times out of 10 the commenter hasn’t even clicked on the recipe, but still feel the need to chime in with “cheese isn’t paleo,” “white potatoes aren’t paleo,” “that’s definitely cheese.” OMG stop. Just stop! If they actually took the time to click on the recipe, nine times out of 10 the blogger explains to either omit cheese or it is paleo-friendly cashew cheese. On the note of white potatoes, to me paleo is not a strict guideline of do’s and don’ts. If white potatoes work for you, great! If they don’t, no worries! I try to not let this get to me, but it is hard. I know bloggers, myself including, work really hard to create delicious recipes, and these side comments wear us down. I am a super positive person by nature, and I always live by trying to only put positive things out into the world. So I know I take things personally when I shouldn’t, and I work on that daily. But let’s all just be nice! Okay? Great!
