Another week has come to a close, and I’ve burned myself in the kitchen once again. I need to remember to always use my gloves when pulling things out of the oven. Whenever I use little mitts, I leave the top of my hand exposed and end up burning the it. Not fun. I didn’t get lavender oil on it fast enough, and now it is blistering. Tip of wisdom: invest in a good pair of oven gloves!
I finally watched the movie Frozen. I’m not even embarrassed to say I loved it. For being a Disney Princess movie, there are a couple things you come to expect. Girl meets boy and instantly falls in love, and they will be married by the end of the movie. An obvious villain who lays out their plan from the beginning. Finally a sidekick added in for extra humor. Frozen is not that movie. SPOILER ALERT: advert your eyes. The charming prince ends up being the villain and attempts to off both of the princesses. What? This sounds terrible, but it proves a great lesson for little girls. First, don’t fall for the first guy who says, “I like crazy.” Really if he likes crazy, you should probably run the other way. Two, sister love will always trumpet the faux-love you’re feeling for the psycho who tried to kill you. Okay so those probably aren’t the main lessons to be learned from Frozen, but hey that just my take!
book: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Ok so I may or may not have read this book. It is my book club’s pick, but I’m pretty sure I read it in high school. Guess we will see!
song: Let It Go by Frozen
This song is on repeat in my mind. I just can’t let it go. Ha.
recipe: Green Tea, Lemon and Ginger Gummies by Meatified
I am slightly obsessed with gummies and can’t wait to try this awesome flavor combo by Rach!
quote: “Everything you want is on the other side of fear” -Jack Canfield
I’ve been overly anxious this week. From my taxes to getting my hair cut, I am in definite need of this quote.
Have a great weekend!
