So these Paleo Avocado Everything Bagels aren’t really bagels, but they feature all my favorite bagel things: everything seasoning, avocados and of course cream cheese! Oh cream cheese how I love you, but my body does not. Damn lactose intolerance. I’ve been on the hunt for a good dairy-free cream cheese for a while now, and I’m happy to say I found 2 brands that I love! First is Kite Hill that I found at Whole Foods. Kite Hill’’s ingredients are pretty clean (almond milk, salt, enzyme, vinegar, xanthan gum, locust bean gum, guar gum, cultures). The second is Green Valley Organic Lactose Free Cream Cheese that I found at King Soopers. Green Valley actually makes their cream cheese with dairy but takes out the lactose (organic pasteurized cream, lactase enzyme, sea salt, live active cultures). Both have that creamy tangy texture and taste I craved. The next part that truly makes this dish is Trader’s Joe’s Everything Bagel Seasoning. This seasoning is life changing! Similar how I like to put my ranch seasoning in everything, I want to put this seasoning on everything! If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby, don’t fear! I have listed everything you will need to make your own.
So I have been eating these avocado everything bagels pretty much every morning since I created this recipe. It is my new morning routine. Pour myself some of my homemade cold brew, make my avocado everything bagel then start up my work computer and get to work. I’ve been working from home for my full-time job for about 2 months now, and I can say I love it! I bust out work in record time then I feel like I have more time to focus on my blog and other interests. I love, love my full-time job but I also love, love this little blog. It is my absolute passion, and I feel like my creativity shines through my recipes.
Ingredients
- 2 large avocados
- 4 tbls dairy free cream cheese
- 2 tbls everything bagel seasoning
- 2 tbls sesame seeds
- 2 tbls poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 tbls dried onion flakes
- 1 1/2 tbls dried garlic flakes
- 1 tbls coarse sea salt
- 1 tbls black sesame seeds
Directions
- Cut avocados in half and remove the pit.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon of cream cheese into each half of the avocado.
- Top with 1/2 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning for each half.
Notes
Feel free to use more cream cheese and everything bagel seasoning. I like to fill the avocado "crater" up to the top the sprinkle liberally with the everything seasoning.
